Pope Francis

Part of the Know Your Popes Series, this book introduces us to the life of the current Pontiff - Pope Francis. Born Jorge Mario Bergoglio and is currently the head of the Catholic Church. He was appointed as the bishop of Rome soon after the death of Benedict XVI, and is now presiding as the sovereign of the Vatican. He hails from a town in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Illness in his early life led to strengthen his belief in God and commitment to the Church. Not currently enjoying the best of health, rumors circulate almost weekly as to whether a resignation is on the horizon.
