St Richard’s has undergone major and significant changes over the past 50 years. This book, as a case study exploring the nature of those changes and their effects on the local communities, represents the wider national picture as well as shining a light on the social history of the Chichester area. The book is based on the testimony of 26 people, who have witnessed these changes ... doctors, nurses and support staff. Archival material, secondary sources, newspaper reports and hospital minutes have also been used to validate the detail of this verbal record.
