This book is about commencing my life with nothing but overcoming severe, next-to-impossible obstacles meanwhile attaining great success in military service, business, and politics, but failing in love. Most readers of this book will recall a similar situation in their past. Sex orientation was not the dominating force in my early life while being reared in poverty-stricken West Virginia, but it became a dominating force later. I was tall, thin, partially color-blind and unsure of my sexual desires, but I managed to become a decorated navy combat pilot in World War ll. While aboard the carrier in the Pacific battle zone, I was invited to the quarters of the third officer in command, and after arrival, I knew that he wanted to have sex with me, but a quirk ended the session. I always looked much younger than my age and was a prime target for gay men.
