Introducing a collection of short stories, a poem and Internet exchanges describing individual views of the history-making storm, Hurricane Katrina, which hit the Mississippi Gulf Coast on August 29, 2005. I chose the title because these were the stories I particularly would like for people to hear. The book deals with stories of real people, and what they did to survive. Some are short and cute, some are long and tense. Each one deals with something which these folks would never have experienced if not for the monster storm. The cover of my book is a picture which circulated on the internet. It is Highway 603 S(exit 13) as seen from the I-10 overpass. The Exxon Station is up and running again, and still the Greyhound Bus stop. All you can see of it is the frame of the sign and the roofs of the service station, restaurant and two-story hotel. The Gulf Coast faces many dragons, such as insurance hikes, FEMA, county and city building codes and post traumatic depression (also called survivor's guilt). With help and perseverance we can overcome these hurdles and go forward with the reconstruction of our homes, businesses, public facilities and our lives. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you read the book.
