In its own words THE BIBLE TELLS ME SO . . Conflict, Cruelty, Carnage, Carnal chaos . . .especially in the Old Testament

The Old Testament of the Bible is a brutal, even blasphemous collection of books (Genesis, Exodus, Psalms, Jeremiah, etc. etc. It's stated that God creates evil, which includes the slaughter of women and children by the Israelis. But God allows their sins and abominations . . and only after his wrath and fury are sufficiently aroused does the Lord punnish "his chosen people" with captivity, pestilence, plagues. Reading (not reciting) the O.T. as historic information (not sacred scripture) it's almost astounding that upon such mayhem and massacre contemporary religions of the "advanced" world find sacred self-sanctification and inspiration. As for the evangelical fringe, it's a wonder they haven't insisted the at least the Old Testament (after Genesis anyway) be banned . . better, burned!!
