Nikha has the ability to heal or harm another's body by touch alone. But in the city of Theumas, bloodcarvers like her are viewed as cold-hearted monsters who kill for fun. When Nhika is caught using her bloodcarving abilities, she's captured by underground thugs and sold to an aristocratic family to heal the last witness of their father's murder. But as Nhika delves deeper into the mystery amidst the glitz of Theumas' wealthiest district, she begins to see parallels between the investigation and her own dark past.
