Frank Vincent Zappa, born on December 21st, 1940, Baltimore, Maryland, U.S., was a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, and bandleader, whose work was characterized by nonconformity, free-form improvisation, sound experiments, musical virtuosity, and satire of American culture.
