Howard Andrew "Andy" Williams, born on December 3rd, 1927, Wall Lake, Iowa, U.S. was a singer, actor and record producer. Williams recorded 43 albums in his career, of which 15 have been -certified gold, with 3 certified platinum. He was also nominated for 6 Grammy Awards, having hosted The Andy Williams Show, a TV variety show, from 1962 to 1971, which won 3 Emmy awards, along with many TV specials. The Moon River Theatre in Branson, Missouri was named after the song for which he's best known?Johnny Mercer and Henry Mancini's Moon River. Andy sold over 100 million records worldwide, including more than 10 million certified units in the US. Williams was active in the music industry for 74 years until his death in 2012.
