Le "Rime" costituiscono la raccolta delle liriche che il grande poeta fiorentino compose via via dalla giovinezza agli anni maturi dell'esilio, fino a quando tutta la sua attività creatrice si raccolse e si compì nella stesura della Divina Commedia. La prima edizione delle "Rime" di Dante nel testo critico e col commento di Gianfranco Contini fu pubblicata nel 1939; riveduta e ampliata nel '46, rappresenta ancora oggi un saggio fondamentale nel campo degli studi danteschi.
