Two Regal Plays

Two plays about queens. The ten-minute Helen of Troy, Pretext for War shows Helen using the suitors' oath to embolden Agamemnon by overcoming his reluctance to attack Troy. The full-length Queen Elizabeth shows Elizabeth's attempt in her waning years to groom the Earl of Essex to succeed her, only to have him lead a rebellion that led to his execution; the play includes townspeople and a troupe of actors with Richard Burbage and William Shakespeare.
