Dog Days

George needs his wife 'like a snail needs its shell', but Ellen has gone, leaving him with only a series of instructions and a need dachshund puppy. Lizzie lives in refuge, her body covered in scars. Dan is a counsellor with OCD, a gardener of other people's thoughts, but so far his most meaningful relationship is with his Labrador, Fitz. Humans are consumed by things we cannot control or change; dogs live from one falling leaf to the next.
