ADELE'S ADVENTURES - VOLUME ONE includes Book 1 (ADELE AND THE GIANT KING), Book 2 (ADELE AND THE BEETLE'S ARMOR), and Book 3 (ADELE AND THE DREADFUL SUMMER). Adele is a daring teenage ladybug attending Dogwood Academy who learns about friendship and hope despite a broken childhood. Through her relationship with the King and her friends in Aurora City, her heart begins to heal. This doesn't happen overnight, however, and Volume 1 takes us through her first three semesters at University, filled with action and reflection. ADELE'S ADVENTURES are certainly appropriate for young readers, but these stories, though written in children's book style, are also for adult children who have been through physical abuse, verbal abuse, and abandonment in their childhood. The purpose of ADELE'S ADVENTURES is to bring readers into her world and experience healing and hope too.
