Triage for Civil Support

At the request of the Advanced Systems and Concepts Office (ASCO) of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), RAND conducted this research and analysis based on the likelihood that Department of Defense (DoD) medical assets would be called upon to provide support to civil authorities in the aftermath of a terrorist attack. Originally focused on chemical or biological attacks, it was expanded following the attacks of September it, to include any terrorist attack involving chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or conventional high explosives (CBRNE) weapons.
